Allison Brook Park sits near the busy intersection of Middle Road and Allison Lane, and is bordered to the west by Lancassange Creek. What was once occupied by a service station is now a beautiful open park space area that can be enjoyed by the surrounding neighbors and is a wonderful addition to the Jeffersonville Parks and Recreation Department.

History
Prior to the start of construction in 2013, this property sat vacant and unused for several years, because the parcel of land sat on a brownfield and in the flood plain for Lancassange Creek, development of the site was difficult. During the 1960’s and 1970’s the land had been occupied by a full service gas station until its closure at the beginning of the 1980’s. The plans and preparation for the new park began in 2012 when Mayor Mike Moore along with members of the cities engineering department and parks department sat down to discuss the design.
