The City’s first dog park is located at Highland Park. Completed in 2012, the dog park is made up of two fenced in areas, which allows residents to exercise their dogs in an off leash setting. One side for large dogs over 25 lbs., and one for small dogs less than 25 lbs. The Jeffersonville Parks Department strives to provide a fun and safe environment for dogs and their owners. All patrons and their dogs use the park entirely at their own risk. Dog owners are solely responsible for their pets’ actions, behavior & security.
All dogs entering the Dog Park must have registered membership and be spayed/neutered, at least 4 months of age and have up to date vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Kennel Cough/Bordetella.
To obtain a membership,
- Read and sign the Dog Park Rules and Waiver: Click here for printable document or obtain a copy at the office
- Complete the registration form: Online or printable document
- Provide proof of vaccinations and expiration dates
- Provide proof of spay/neuter
- Pay membership fee: Online or at the office

Shelter Reservations
The Jeffersonville Parks and Recreation Department has several shelters which can be used for neighborhood meetings, family reunions, graduation celebrations, birthday parties, team gatherings and much more.
Reservations are accepted online at any time. Payment is due upon reservation. Shelter rentals require 1 week advance notice. All rules and regulations of the shelter apply and are subject to availability. There are no onsite restrooms available at Highland Park.
Highland Park Shelter can be reserved for the hourly rate of $45.00 per hour plus tax.
DOG PARK YEARLY MEMBERSHIP
All dogs entering the Dog Park must have registered membership and be spayed/neutered, at least 4 months of age and have up to date vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Kennel Cough/Bordetella.

After vet records and payment are received, if requirements are met, one gate entry key fob will be issued for pick up at the park office. You will be notified via email when complete. Extra fobs are $15 each.
After initial membership registration, dog immunization updates can be emailed and annual membership fees paid online. Choose the blue box below to get started, then choose memberships tab and dog park.
