For over 50 years Samuel G. Shannon Memorial Park played host to Little League baseball and softball. The Park is located off of Crestview Court near the Parkview Middle School campus.

The Baseball and Softball Diamonds at Shannon Memorial Park are available for rent.

Please contact Rick Romans, Sports & Athletic Director 502.641.2883 or rromans@cityofjeff.net regarding availability.

The tournament rate is $240.00 per day, per field, plus tax. This includes field prep, access to restrooms, and scoreboards.

The hourly rate is $30.00 per hour per field plus tax, with an additional $20.00 per hour per field when lights are requested.

History

Samuel Shannon (1893-1975) was the Mayor of Jeffersonville serving between 1942-1951. He was also the owner/operator of Shannon’s Dairy in Jeffersonville from 1918-1961. Shannon was a dedicated servant of the people and was instrumental in establishing this park for the youth of this city. The park was rededicated in his name in April of 1986.
