Shirley’s Arbor is located at the corner of Charlestown Pike and Woehrle Road and covers 14 acres.
The park is named in honor of the land’s former owners, John and Shirley Woehrle.
The park consists of nearly half a mile paved walking trail that will meander through 125 trees with five exercise stations. There is also a detention basin that will help alleviate the area’s storm water drainage issues.
To help ease some traffic concerns, the intersection at Woehrle Road and Charlestown Pike is now a four-way stop.
Leashed pets are welcome, but please pick up after your pet as a courtesy, so all visitors may enjoy the new park!

History
Shirley’s Arbor is located at the corner of Charlestown Pike and Woehrle Road. The 14-acre park will have green space, a retention pond to help alleviate area storm water drainage problems and a half-mile paved walking trail with exercise stations.
“This new park is a win-win for everyone. We’re taking a big step to help alleviate flooding in this area that has plagued residents for decades. But we’re also offering people a new and beautiful park setting,” said Mayor Mike Moore. “It’s part of our larger and on-going commitment to improving the quality of life with more parks and recreational opportunities.”
The park is named in honor of the land’s former owners, John and Shirley Woehrle.
