Ben Sollee is an Emmy-winning composer, cellist, and experiential designer working at the intersection of art and social impact. He has spent two decades blurring the boundaries between folk music, cinematic scoring, and environmental activism. His work is driven by a singular mission: to design experiences—be they musical, digital, or environmental—that grow a deeper sense of togetherness and collective resilience.
Jason Leech brings a fresh perspective to live electronic music, breaking down fan favorites into immersive live remixes. Performing on stage with live keys, he brings a distinctive sound, blending classical piano with bass music. Jason’s performances reshape familiar tracks into something entirely new while elevating their core energy. His musicianship and inventive style have led to collaborations and support from prominent artists across the scene, including Ganja White Night, Zeds Dead, Boogie T, Clozee and more.
Houseplant has steadily evolved into a genre-fluid band that blends improvisation, indie-rock storytelling, lush psychedelic soundscapes, and groove-driven rhythm. The band’s music lives at the intersection of structure and exploration—balancing emotionally resonant songwriting with an open-ended, collaborative approach to performance. Their live show remains the centerpiece of its creative output: dynamic, immersive, and ever-changing.
Yellow Banks is a country and western band from Owensboro, Ky. Each artist in the band brings their own unique twist that ultimately defines the composition in their music, noticeably ranging from traditional country music, western swing, rockabilly, and even funk and psychedelic aspects. The group’s chemistry shines through with electric performances, hard-hitting lyrics, pounding bass and drum, and soulful and crying guitar from every side.
Pura Vida Classic is a Latin rock band that performs locally at nighclubs, birthday parties and other events.
Sydney Sleadd & The Swarm is a 5-piece based indie rock band known for their tight and high energy live performances. They seamlessly blend elements of rock, surf, folk, and grunge into a unique sound that is dynamic and captivating. After releasing their debut album in 2024 and a follow up EP in 2025, they are currently finishing their second album set to release later this year.
B Simm has been a legendary name in Kentucky hip-hop for more than two decades. He previously opened for Lil Jon, Paul Wall and Twista at Jeffersonville’s Juneteenth Riverstage concerts. This year, he is debuting his country music album under the monniker Simm McGraw.
Nectar Valley is a young, high-energy, genre-blending string band rooted in Kentucky’s rich musical soil. Each member brings a distinct background, weaving influences from bluegrass, folk, psychedelic rock, blues, and jam-band improvisation into a sound that’s all their own. They are known for their dynamic energy, spirited jam sessions, and support of an amazing community of musicians and friends at their former personally-run venue, Steven House, in Louisville.
Drawing on a wide range of influences, Mr. Please weaves a sonic tapestry that defies easy categorization. Blending their funk and indie rock foundation with sounds from across the world and back again to those of their native Kentucky, their innovative songwriting and dynamic performance have earned them spots at several popular music festivals. In the studio, they tackle subjects from the serious to the sexy to the absurd (and sometimes all at once). The band treats their live set as a playground where they expand on their songs with jams that evolve every time they play, exchanging energy with the audience in a way that leaves no two shows the same.
After cultivating her dynamic voice and performance skills in backup roles and stage plays, Joslyn Hampton teamed with her stepfather, Marty Charters, to compose a captivating set of tunes and assemble an ace band. Joslyn & The Sweet Compression combine to deliver a hook-filled mix of funk and soul on their self-titled debut album, released in 2019 and their sophomore album Bona Fide. A headlining favorite at regional clubs and music festivals, they now engage fans across the country with widespread touring.
The Daddy Sisters boast empowering lyrics, energetic stage presence and fashion styles harkening back to glamorous rock icons. Singer and guitarist Chick Falcon and drummer Jack Quinn have had a journey of performances and hard work since coming together in 2021 at a chance meeting at a Bowling Green coffee shop. With influences such as Chuck Berry, Mick Jagger and David Bowie, the band’s stage presence and crowd interaction along with Falcon’s self-empowerment messages in her songwriting is something that is remembered long after the last song is performed.
Rooted just as much in 70’s progressive rock as modern alternative and cultivated by the eclectic Louisville music scene, Villa Mure’s music is anchored on the chemistry of textural guitar work, melodic bass, and vocal harmonies. Villa Mure fearlessly explores the musical landscape that falls between rock n roll, progressive-rock, heartland-rock, psychedelia, blues-rock, and jam. Live, the band creates an atmosphere that recalls the psychedelic, but presents itself in the simplicity of the tried and true rock n’ roll power trio, with grooving instrumentals intertwined with lyrics intended to speak from your own inner voice.
Sheryl Rouse is a powerhouse performer and world-class entertainer with an unforgettable voice. She has shared stages with the likes of Al Green, Eddie LeVert, Shirley Murdock and many more. Sheryl is known for her high-energy and charisma, and a unique ability to connect to any audience she encounters. She has curated tribute performances based on icons like Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, and traveled the nation sharing these legendary shows.
Hot Brown Smackdown is a dynamic, high-energy newgrass band known for their electrifying live performances and unique sound. The band combines traditional bluegrass instrumentation with elements of rock, jazz, and funk to create a sound that is both avante-garde and timeless. Over the years they have earned a reputation for their impressive musicianship, infectious energy, and complex compositions and have become a fixture in the Appalachian music scene. The band is best experienced live, where their captivating performances and improvisational skills are on full display.
Tyrone Cotton began playing guitar along to the sounds of popular rock and blues artists and draws inspiration for his debut album from influences such as Jerry Garcia, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, and Mississippi John Hurt, who intrigued Tyrone with his “finger pickin’ and soft, wispy voice.” His own writing is deeply personal and embodies a vast landscape of soul, folk, blues, jazz, and rock n roll. Cotton has toured throughout the United States and overseas but it’s in his hometown where he’s played hundreds, if not thousands of shows at clubs and festivals.
The Electric Casey Powell is a Multi Instrumentalist, Artist, Vocalist and Producer. Though he plays many instruments, his heart beats through his electric guitar. An avid practice advocate, Casey has teamed up with some of the heaviest hitting musicians in the city to bring an eclectic blend of groove, jazz, rock, funk and psychedelia to make experimental fusion.
DJ Slikk, the Mixtape Iron Man, is the founder of The ELITEgiance DJ Coalition and the Kentucky Urban Entertainment Awards. DJ John Q is known as the Professional Party Rocker, and is the popular go-to for weddings and corporate events. They both have mix shows on Magic 103.1 radio.
DJ Matt Anthony is a vinyl enthusiast has made it his life mission to help people discover music they’ll love. He is the owner of Matt Anthony’s Record Shop in the Highlands, and has won Best Live DJ at the Louisville Music Awards twice. His show on WFPK, The Friday Night Sound-Clash, is a worldwide excursion to find the rarest grooves of genre-bending mind expanding music. The show starts with a radio documentary focusing on a musical icon or genre, then moves into Matt’s trademark mix of ancient and futuristic sounds, ending with an exploration of Soul Music from the Church to the disco.
